Michael Hugh Dugan (1923-1993) Age 69
Son Michael Hugh Dugan, born 20 Oct 1923 in Four States, Marion County, West Virginia, married Shirley Ann Wren, born 13 Nov 1927 in Mullens, Wyoming County, West Virginia, daughter of William Deggs and Marian (King) Wren, 26 Dec 1945 in Mullens, Wyoming County, West Virginia. Mike and Shirley would go on to have eight children, living in many places, including Japan, due to Mike's job with the government. They eventually settled in Hollywood, St Mary's County, Maryland, making it their home for many years. Mike passed away 31 May 1993 and Shirley 2 Sep 2011. Both are buried in Saint John Francis Regis Cemetery in their hometown of Hollywood.

Mike Dugan retired in 1975 after 29 years of military and civilian service for the United States.
He was director of the budget and data processing for the Board of Education of Charles Co., MD, from 1975 until Nov. 30, 1980, when he retired on disability due to cancer.
Outstanding achievements relating to his career include serving in the office of the Secretary of the Army as a member of the Secretary's Board for Correction of Military Records. He was financial manager of NATO and Army Headquarters in Europe, director of military equipment maintenance in the Far East, and deputy director of port services at the port of Yokohama, Japan.
From 1942-'45, he served in the Army as a paratrooper with the South Parachute Infantry Regiment of the 82nd Airborne Division. During that time, he was awarded the Purple Heart, the Bronze Star for Valor, and the Combat Infantry Badge.
Dugan is to be commended for his community service. He was treasurer of the Association of the U.S. Army in Heidelberg, Germany. From 1981-'83 he was treasurer of the Knights of Columbus. Currently, he is a member of the Chamber of Commerce of St. Mary's County, Maryland. For eight years, he was president of the American Cancer Society in his area. In 1979-'80, he served as director of the budget division of the Maryland-Washington, DC, Association of School Business Officials.
In 1990 he was recipient of the Good Neighbor Award, given by the Chamber of Commerce of St. Mary's Co. For his contribution to the American Cancer Society, he was named the State of Maryland Volunteer Worker of the Year.
By attending night classes only, he earned the bachelor of science degree in business administration from the University of Maryland in 1972.
He was an outstanding graduate of the Industrial College of the Armed Forced in 1956.
A 1941 honor graduate, he was both a cheerleader and the winner of the district debate contests in 1940 and in '41. He played the French horn in the band for four years and was a member of the Thespian Club, and the Pan American Club.
Dugan and his wife, the former Shirley Wren, are the parents of seven sons and a daughter. All of their children are college graduates. All except one have master's degrees.
Their family consists of Michael, 45; Kevin, 43, Shawn, 40, Bryan, 38; twins-son Keith and daughter Kelly, 35; Patrick, 30; and Christopher, 27. The Dugans have 16 grandchildren ranging in ages from 19 years to one year.
His parents are the late Mitchell and Mahala Dugan, former Mullens residents.
Mike and Shirley's eldest son Michael Wren Dugan passed away recently at the age of 69 years on 17 Apr 2016. He is buried in Saint Andrews Episcopal Church Cemetery, California, St Mary's County, Maryland, USA
Rosemary Dugan (1927-2009) Age 81
Daughter Rosemary Dugan, born 9 May 1927 in Peach Creek, Logan County, West Virginia, married Lawrence Joseph Durr, born 25 May 1922 in Hartford, Hartford County, Connecticut, son of Charles Joseph and Fannie Billings (Enos) Durr, 19 Feb 1947 in Wyoming County, West Virginia. They went on to have four children, but eventually divorced. Lawrence died 1 Nov 1989 in New London, New London Connecticut, and is buried in the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne, Barnstable County, Massachusetts. Rosemary died 28 Feb 2009; her burial location is unknown.
Rosemary and Lawrence's eldest son Robert Joseph Durr passed away at the age of 56 years on 26 Jan 2004 in New Haven County, Connecticut.
Margaret Ellen Dugan (1930-1973) Age 43
Daughter Margaret Dugan, born 4 May 1930 in Glen Rogers, Wyoming County, West Virginia, married Harry Wagner, born 27 May 1924 in Westfield, Hampden County, Massachusetts, son of Harry Frank and Flora Lilly (Burrell) Wagner, 13 Aug 1960 in East Haven, New Haven County, Connecticut. At the time of her marriage to Harry, her last name was recorded as Wydler, implying she had been married before. They had two children, and lived in Woodbridge, Prince William County, Virginia. Harry worked at the U.S. Mint in Washington, District of Columbia. He died 29 Jul 1981 and is buried in Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, Arlington County, Virginia. Margaret preceded him in death, passing away 28 Jun 1973 and is buried in Sacred Heart Catholic Church Cemetery in Manassas, Prince William County, Virginia.
