If you need help...

I have researched our family history off and on since 1980 and along the way have amassed an astounding amount of information, including documents, photographs, books, and sources.  Now I spend my time doing research for others, helping with various cemetery projects, continuing the research on our families, and adding to this website.

Most of our families are from southwestern Ohio and northern Kentucky, so I have researched extensively in Clermont, Hamilton, and Warren Counties in Ohio, and Kenton County in Kentucky.  In addition, there are numerous other "pockets" of this country on which I have spent almost as much time:  Carter County in Kentucky; Gallia, Jackson, and Vinton Counties in Ohio; Ontonagon County in Michigan; Kanawha and Wyoming Counties in West Virginia.  While I enjoy traveling to other areas to research, the internet has made it much easier to access information all over the world right from home. 

Don't get me wrong - I'll still jump at the chance to visit courthouses, cemeteries, and libraries, regardless of location!  But the many advantages of being able to do much of this online now are not lost on me.  I remember countless hours in courthouses and libraries, glued to microfilm and microfiche readers, poring over decaying documents with a magnifying glass and thinking there has to be a better way!
