Josephine Mary Luttmann was the daughter of Frank Henry Luttmann and Regina "Rachel" Morand.  She was born 24 May 1896 in Covington, Kenton County, Kentucky.

The 1900 Census shows Josephine at age 4 living with her family at 835 Main Street in Covington, Kenton County, Kentucky.  Her father's mother and sister are enumerated in the next household at the same address.

In 1910, Josephine is living with her family at 1428 Banklick Street in Covington, Kenton County, Kentucky.  She is age 13 and attending school.

On 4 Jun 1919, Josephine married Robert John Roth at the Mother of God Church in Covington.

The 1920 Census shows Josephine at age 23 with her new husband, Robert.  They live with Josephine's family at 1514 Woodburn Avenue, Covington, Kenton County, Kentucky.  Her parents are enumerated on the page before (included below in the section on her father, Frank Henry Luttmann).

At the time of the 1930 Census, Josephine, now age 33, her husband, Robert, and their children are living at 85 Forest Avenue in Erlanger, Kenton County, Kentucky.

The 1940 Census finds Josephine at age 43 residing with her huband and family at the same residence.

Various accounts indicate Josephine, or Jo, as she was called, was a happy, caring person who enjoyed her family immensely.

Josephine died 4 Jul 1989 at age 93 and is buried beside Robert in Saint Johns Cemetery in Fort Mitchell, Kenton County, Kentucky.
