Mary died 30 Mar 1895 near Otto in Cowley County, Kansas, and is buried in Dexter Cemetery in Cowley County.  The obituary included on her Find A Grave memorial names her as Mary, but the actual memorial is under the name Lydia Mary.

Winfield Daily Courier, Winfield (Cowley County), Kansas, Monday, April 8, 1895:

Near Otto, Kansas, March 30, 1895, of pneumonia, Mary Pruitt aged 19 years.  She joined the United Brethren church about eighteen months ago and was a consistent christian and loved by all who knew her.  She leaves a widowed mother, two brothers and a little sister to mourn her loss, besides a large circle of friends, but we feel that our loss is her gain and we will meet her again someday.
